Personal Information

My name is Amy Mamerow. My husband Tim and I two children. Our son, Caleb, is employed by John Deere as a welder. Our daughter Emily is a manager at a local Italian deli. We live here in Oconomowoc and enjoy the beauty of this city. I grew up very close to here, just 20 miles north in the small village of Iron Ridge. I am blessed to be close to my three siblings, who all live in Iron Ridge!

Professional Information

I teach first grade here at St. Matthew's Lutheran School and also serve as the school’s Reading Specialist. This will be my 29th year here at St. Matthews. I believe that first grade is where the action is! I greatly anticipate watching them grow, both spiritually and academically in the nine months they are with me. It is certainly a privilege to be able to share the message of God's love with these young lambs. My other love in the classroom is teaching reading. I myself continue to look for ways to improve reading/writing instruction in my classroom through professional reading and continued professional development. I have a Bachelors of Science Degree from Dr. Martin Luther College (1989). In 2010 I completed my Master’s Program in Reading through Concordia University. I also hold a Wisconsin State Teaching License, including a 316 Reading Teacher and 17 Reading Specialist License. I am very involved with the Wisconsin State Reading Association, serving on the Board of Directors, and as the President of the Waukesha County Reading Council. I am always interested in hearing from other primary grade teachers who are interested in sharing ideas! God’s blessings to you.
